The lights are controlled with Nanoleafs companion app, and I found the initial setup straightforward.
When it did eventually find a more recent firmware and updated itself, the lights then became unavailable inAppleHomeKit.

However, these repeated issues do not inspire confidence in the quality of the software.
I wasnt able to test the selection of themes via HomeKit because the themes were simply not there.
On the whole, though, the app is nicely laid out and uncluttered.
The Reindeer Gamer scheme is a nod to Nanaoleafs gamer roots, which worked well to entice me.
The sound-activated motions kind of work, but are limited by the microphone in the base unit.
