Its offering something entirely different.
One that Ive already incorporated into my everyday home life.
Its also a bit heavier and larger than you might expect.
That largely comes down to the overall size of the gear.

Simply put, the PlayStation Portal performs brilliantly.
you’re free to disengage or re-engage the main console while the Portal is on at will too.
It issomuch better than using Remote Play functionality on my PC; the difference is like night and day.
The worlds ofStar Wars Jedi: Survivorand the city lights ofMarvels Spider-Man 2s New York are a delight.
Largely, though, it’s bright, vivid, and perfect for the Portal.
It also handles different quality or performance modes in games smoothly.
Battery life is about on par with the DualSense controller.
I did tinker with screen brightness as thats quite piercing at its highest level.

The PlayStation Portal is a brilliant handheld gaming gear.
